Prerequisites
To access the CHE Pools view, you need to license the N4 Automation Option and assign the CHE Pools - View privilege to your user role.
To add, edit, and delete the CHE pools, you must assign the ChePool – Add, ChePool – EDIT, and ChePool - Delete privileges to your user role.
The CHE Pools view displays a list of container handling equipment (CHE) poolsand the yard with which the pool is associated.
If you create a CHE pool in N4, the value in the Source column is set to N4. N4 does not send the CHE pool details to XPS. Also, N4 allows you to only edit or delete the CHE pools which are created in N4.
In XPS, the Control Pools & Equipment Pools & Equipment window displays similar information. In addition, from the Pools & Equipment window, you can assign CHEs to a pool, set the dispatch status, and perform other actions related to a CHE pool. To add a new equipment pool, you must use the File Maintain Cranes and RDTs Maintain Cranes and RDTs window.
When you create a CHE pool in XPS, the value in the Source column is set to Null in the CHE Pools view. You must only use XPS to create the CHE pools when you have integrated N4 with XPS.
