If the available space is not sufficient to display the full text, ECN4Web abbreviates it. Navis generally abbreviates content such as labels, messages, and so on, by removing vowels, and truncating words (commands).
Sites using localization files other than English have to provide their own localization file, but they can still continue to use the Navis-provided English localization files as the base.
The adapter template converts an xhtml document to a groovy class that contains Lanterna library GUI components. If you customize the adapter template, you may need to know what GUI components are supported and what they do.
Depending on the available space, (the number of characters allowed for display), ECN4Web displays a text command including 14, 8, 5 or 3 characters respectively. You can find an example of how ECN4Web abbreviates text command 9:Unavailable:
