Description
If you receive an invalid ISO code as part of a Receival transaction, this business task determines whether N4 rejects the invalid ISO code for both the container and chassis.
When you include the RejectUnknownEqType business task, N4 rejects the invalid ISO codes for the container and chassis equipment, and displays an error message to the gate clerk on sending an invalid ISO code type. Also, N4 validates the equipment type and displays an error message if the equipment type is obsolete.
When you do not include the RejectUnknownEqType business task, N4 creates a new record for the container and chassis equipment in the Equipment Types view using the invalid ISO code, even though the container record has the correct ISO code.
