Type: Vessel AutoStow parameter
Description: The number of chain links to consider when assigning a container to a projected stow location.
There is no restriction on the value applied or its relationship with width although a higher value for search depth is recommended because it allows AutoStow a better opportunity to spot conditions like weight inversion ahead of time, thereby giving the algorithm more opportunity to detect poor choices early.
With a greater value in depth than in width, AutoStow will always consider at least one container at each level of the search. Larger values generally results in better stowage plans, but these will take significantly longer to complete.
Default: 7
Ask Yourself: How far down the container solution chain should AutoStow be looking?
