UN/LOCODE view

Configuration Routing UN Locations UN Locations view

The UN Locations view displays the UN Locations that exist at the current scope level. A UN/LOCODE (United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations) is required to identify routing points, ports, rail terminals, and other locations where cargo is loaded or delivered. If the UN/LOCODEs are not defined correctly, it can lead to EDI processing errors and can make it impossible to correctly define vessel services and vessel voyages.

The UN/LOCODEs are provided as a service by the United Nations Secretariat. For a complete list of the location codes, go to http://www.unece.org/cefact/locode/service/main.htm.

When a new operator is added, the UN/LOCODEs defined in the system are added for the operator as part of the global UN entity set. You can add UN/LOCODEs, and edit or delete existing UN/LOCODEs based on your requirements from this view.
