The Vessel Classes view displays the vessel classes that exist at the current scope level. A vessel class groups together vessels with similar physical characteristics, such as the length, the width, and the height. You must add at least one vessel class before you can add a vessel.

From the Vessel Classes view, you can add vessel classes, and you can edit or delete them. In addition, you can use the Actions menu to do the following:

Recover Obsolete: Recover deleted vessel classes.
Purge: Purge vessel classes.
Export SNX File: Export the selected vessel classes as an XML file using the snx.xsd format.
Copy Reference Set: Copy vessel classes from another entity set.
Import Ship File (on page 1): Import a ship file for the selected vessel class.
View Bin Plan: (on page 1) View the ship bin plan associated with the vessel class.
Export SNX File Ship Bin Model: Export the Sip Bin Model for the selected vessel classes as an XML file using the snx.xsd format.

In the list view, select the record(s) that you want to edit or delete.

Do one of the following:

Click to edit a selected record.
Click to delete the selected record(s).
