Type: Setting
CHE: ASC Sites. This will only work for semi-auto and fully automated sites.
Description: When set to Y, an option to create 45' preferred rows (45s Allowed) appears in the Set Stack Status dialog (Yard Set Stack Status). Visually, setting the segregation status appears on empty slots as a 5 on top-down views and as a gray dot pattern on side views. Note setting only applies to semi-auto or fully automated sites using ASCs.
If this setting is turned on, then 45' containers should be placed in areas designated to 45' stack status only. The following yard check violations appear during manual planning and when a yard stowage check runs:
45' containers are not placed in 45' designated areas.
non-45' containers are placed in 45' designated areas.
When enabled, the Expert Decking penalty STK45S is active, which means that slots incur the penalty specified if a 20' or 40' container is decked to a stack that is designated as a 45' preferred area. If you need to enforce 45' stalls, you should set STK45S very high. You can see more information about Expert Decking penalties in the Reference List of Penalties in the Navis N4: Equipment Control Administrator and User Guide manual.
On the N4 side, this setting is supported by setting YRDCORE003 (DESIGNATE_PREFERRED_SLOTS_45) (on page 1). In order for both N4 and XPS to properly handle the placement of 45' containers, both settings need to be in sync at all times. If you make any change to one setting, you also need to manually apply the same change to the other setting.
This setting is incompatible with the existing 45' segregation settings STK5NL (on page 1) and STKPRO (on page 1).
Default: N
To change this setting, see Change XPS settings with the SPARCS settings.txt file in the Navis N4: Setup, Maintenance, and System Diagnostics Guide.

How this setting affects Expert Decking placement of containers of different lengths
The following table describes how the value of XPS setting 45ALWD (on page 1) influences Expert Decking behavior for containers of different lengths. Note: 45ALWD only applies to semi-auto and fully automated sites that are using ASCs.
These scenarios assume that there are no existing container conflicts and that both yard allocations and the yard model allow the move.
