Description: The purpose of this setting is to reduce the chance of burying the yard containers under the shift move containers thereby avoiding unnecessary rehandles and delay in delivering the yard containers.
This setting determines the minimum dwell period (in days) of a container planned for a shift move in the RTG and forklift blocks. The maximum dwell period of a container planned for the shift move is configured in OPTHHI. Expert Decking decks the shift containers that are within the configured maximum and minimum threshold range in the yard stack or section.
For example, if 5 is the oldest dwell time of the container in stack or section, 2 to 5 is the lower and upper threshold range value configured in OPTHLO and OPTHHI respectively, and 3 is the dwell time of the container being shifted, then ED will stack the container in the stack or section because the dwell time 3 is within the lower and upper threshold range value (2 to 5). Otherwise, the shift move of the container fails to deck.
