Type: Penalty
Category: STK
CHE Types: All
Reference: Mixed stack
Description: Stack penalty if a container doesn't match existing ones (but a rehandle is deemed unlikely). This penalty is applied only if the position is unlikely to cause a rehandle. See STKREH (on page 1).
This penalty applies when:
All containers in the stack have the same stacking factor but the incoming container has a different stacking factor
There is more than one stacking factor in that stack
Note that if you have several stacking penalties configured, only one stack penalty is applied per decking decision. For an explanation for which stack penalty is applied see the topic How Expert Decking scores stacks in the online help or on the Kaleris Community Portal.
Forimport containers with invalid appointment times and departing by truck, but with the same stacking factor, Expert Decking applies the STKMIX penalty. Expert Decking does thisto minimize rehandles and avoid isolated piles. To stop Expert Decking from applying the STKMIX penalty in this scenario, you can set the Equipment Control parameter DEKMIX to N. With DEKMIX set to N, when the XPS or XPS client decker evaluates a stack while decking import containers with the same stacking factor and departing by truck, if the appointment time of the occupied container and the decking container is invalid, Expert Decking does not apply the STKMIX penalty. This ensures that import containers with the same stacking factor and departing by truck are distributed to different stacks. DEKMIX applies only to automated terminals.

This XPS penalty has been implemented in N4 for the N4 Automation IntraBlock and Rehandle Deckers. You still set the penalty in XPS.
