RESTIP

Type: Setting

Description: The IP address or hostname of the N4 load balancer. Alternatively the IP address or hostname of an N4 REST (Representational State Transfer) web service node. This setting is used when TLS is enabled or when using a load balancer.

N4 Automation needs this value to communicate with N4 using the REST Web Service. You must configure this parameter if you want to manually dispatch moves, cancel work assignments using reset handlers or force reset handlers for an automated CHE from an XPS client.

The value you enter depends on the N4 setting ARGORESTWEBSERVICE001 (LOAD_BALANCER_ENABLED).

With a load balancer, the value you enter for RESTIP should match the <n4> setting, ARGORESTWEBSERVICE002 (LOAD_BALANCER_IP). The load balancer forwards the request to the N4 node where the REST Web Service exists.

If not using a load balancer, N4 creates the REST Web Service on each individual cluster node, select one node for this purpose. You can use the Cluster Services view in N4 to select a Cluster node.

In a clustered environment, you should set the RESTIP to point to a node other than the Center Node.

After you configure this parameter along with RESTPO, you can use Control <arrow> Pools & Equipment, Actions <arrow> Reset Handler option to reset a CHE, such as an ASC or an AGV in the yard.

You must restart XPS after you modify the setting's value.

For more information on resetting handlers, see Reset a CHE.

In addition, for AHTs, you can use the:
